Youth Minister visits Adopt an Intern

01 August 2012

Scotland's Youth Employment Minister, Angela Constance, is visiting one of the 200 graduates successfully placed by the Adopt an Intern team over the past two years.  With our new statistics out showing that 66% of our placed graduates are going straight into full-time employment or have their internships extended, it was hard for us to choose who to introduce her to!

We're delighted that she will meet Megan Johnson who gained valuable work experience through an internship with the charity Working on Wheels.  Since completing her internship she has been made a permanent employee by Working on Wheels. This employer and its partner charity, Smart Play Network, have since then taken on another 4 graduate interns with another 2 also kept on as full-time employees after the expiry of theor internships.

This is a great opportunity for Adopt an Intern to thank the Scottish Government for their continued support and to celebrate the achievements of the small but dedicated Adopt an Intern team and the programme's parent organisation, The Centre for Scottish Public Policy.
