The CSPP's partner organisation Scotland's Towns Partnership (STP) has launched a competition for Scotland's Most Beautiful High Street in collaboration with Keep Scotland Beautiful and the Sunday Herald.
The competition celebrates high streets and town centres as the beating hearts of Scottish communities and local economies. Local authorities, business improvement districts, development trusts, community councils and any other local organisation are invited to submit their entry to Scotland’s Most Beautiful High Street.
Entrants must send in a document (Word or PDF) consisting of one or two quality images and a short description (300 words max) explaining why their High Street deserves the award. The competition takes a broad understanding of “beautiful”, and the term can encompass the inclusion of green space or green infrastructure, cleanliness, shop front presentation, heritage and architecture, innovative features, and more.
Applications should be submitted before 5pm, Friday 30 June 2017.
STP and KSB will then shortlist entries, and a subsequent public vote to decide the winner will be held, hosted at scotlandstowns.org. The winning entry will be announced at Scotland’s Towns Partnership’s Annual Conference in Paisley, on 21 November 2017.
