| MESSAGE | In 2007 Kari Dunn and Ben Binswanger of The Case Foundation asked Allison Fine, author of award-winning book 'Momentum: Igniting Social Change in the Connected Age, to write a paper for the Foundation about the emergence of
Millennials, 15-29 year olds, as activists. They wanted to know more about how these young people are using all of their widgets and gadgets for causes. In essence, the author aimed to address the unique characteristics of 'Millenials.' This paper aims to stimulate dialogue about the changing nature of civic engagement and serves us with an innovative take on renewing democracy, a key policy area for CSPP. The paper can be accessed via the link below: http://blog.socialcitizens.org/paper/ |

| MESSAGE | As you may or may not know Scotland has another think tank, Reform Scotland. Positioning itself on the centre-right it aims to 'set out a better way to deliver increased economic prosperity and more effective public services based on the traditional Scottish principles of limited government, diversity and personal responsibility.'
Upon launching, Reform Scotland produced a 52 page report called Power to the Public. As part of a more concentrated effort, CSPP aims to analyse the output of think tanks like Reform Scotland. Why not have your say? The report can be accessed via the link below. http://www.reformscotland.com/index.php/publication/view_details/18/ Debate and dialogue is also taking place on CSPP's newly set up facebook group which can also be accessed via the link below http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=37715460149 |
