In conjunction with the Scottish Centre for Social Research, the Institute of Governance have organised a seminar entitled "So do we now want independence"? It will take place on Friday 15 January 2010 and will reveal the the latest information from ScotCen’s Scottish Social Attitudes (SSA) survey on people’s attitudes towards the constitutional debate will be unveiled. The seminar will address three key questions:

  1. Have attitudes towards the Union and independence changed?
  2. What do people think would happen if Scotland were to become independent?
  3. How do people think the Scottish Parliament should be funded?

John Curtice is Research Consultant to the Scottish Centre for Social Research (ScotCen) and Professor of Politics at Strathclyde University 

 

Rachel Ormston is a Research Director at ScotCen and co-director of  SSA.

 

Susan Reid is a Senior Researcher at ScotCen and co-director of SSA.
