About the Programme
Following the success of our European themed event at the politcal party Spring Conferences, CSPP launched its European programme in June 2008 at the Tun, Edinburgh. Utilising our strong links with MPs, MSPs and MEPs and with Scotland's major institutions in the EU policy process, this programme will provide a forum for engagement with key politicians, policy advisers and influencers.
Connections
CSPP Honorary President, Ken Munro, was formerly Deputy Head of the European Commission Office in London and Head of the European Commission Office in Edinburgh. CSPP Director, Mark Lazarowicz MP, has a particular interest in the future of the European Union and is project lead on the 4 planned events. Newly appointed Board member, Jim Wallace, was formerly Deputy First Minister and maintains a keen interest in European Affairs.
Research and Resources
CSPP research associate, Daniel Wylie, is currently working with the European Free Alliance Group within the European Parliament, Brussels. He will cover and report back on issues related to the Agriculture (AGRI) and to the Industry, Research, & Energy (ITRE) and Transport and Tourism (TRAN) Committees. In Scotland our European research associate, Jason Antrican, an international politics graduate, has produced a number of papers on European issues and organisational structures.
