City Regions
The City Regions policy programme is leading public policy thinking in Scotland on the City Region concept. It brings together UK and international comparisons; and provides a platform to share public, private and voluntary sector views surrounding opportunities and threats that are emerging from Scottish and UK Government's distinctive agendas.
The development of our City Region programme, outwards from the capital city, is a demonstration itself of our desire to investigate how power and influence can be decentralised, moving devolution into its next logical phase, to the regional level. This inevitably links our City Region programme with many of the issues being discussed in our Renewing Democracy and Public Service Reform series.
