Six Cities Report
Stirling Six Cities Policy Dinner Report is published.
Throughout the year we organise policy dinner's for Scotland's Six Cities. The events are informal and independent affairs where council leaders’ and external voices can debate the role of cities and blend the national and local perspective to create practical and effective policy.
The latest report from Stirling is available to download. Commenting on the document, Policy Director Ross Martin said:
"Scotland’s Six Cities stand at a policy crossroads. Exciting collaboration opportunities exist but the Six Cities must deliver on the fine rhetoric.
"Old, traditional barriers to change need to be cast aside to allow the Six Cities to speak with a stronger voice and deliver projects as a collective entity.
Can Edinburgh & Glasgow collaborate on the cost, design and development of a secure, reliable and fast Wi-Fi connection on the main rail route across the central belt?
Can Inverness & Perth create a partnership vehicle for funding to deliver elements of the A9 dualling project?"
