Conversation Events

The CSPP regularly organises “In Conversation With” events with leading figures from Scottish public life. These events offer our members and the general public the opportunity to come together to discuss the pressing issues of the day with invited politicians, commentators, writers, campaigners, cultural figures and others in order to promote greater understanding and shape the wider debate.

Recent events hosted by the CSPP have discussed home rule for Scotland, land reform, community empowerment, and Scotland’s constitutional future. Those invited to lead the “In Conversation With” events have included Andy Wightman (author and land reform campaigner), David Torrance (journalist and writer), Margaret Smith (Director of Caledonian Public Affairs and former three term Liberal Democrat MSP) and Ben Thomson (Chair, Reform Scotland).

If you or your organisation are interested in partnering with the CSPP to hold a discussion event on a key public affairs or policy issue, please contact Elaine Bone
